Community Service
Transition Enterprises takes its role as part of the community seriously.
From community events to assisting with non-profit organizations, our President, Jeanie Coomber tries her best to assist with as many worthwhile causes as possible.
Jeanie Coomber and her running partner Maria McKeon (pictured at right along with Donna Lyn Giegerich and the Editor of More Magazine, Peggy Northrop) ran 13 miles in Central Park as the "Donna Lyn Dynamo's" for a good friend and colleague Donna Lyn Giegerich. Donna is an exercise enthusiast and health advocate who was diagnosed with a rare cancer Leiomyosarcoma in late 2006.
Through their efforts they raised $3,000 for the Donna Lyn Giegerich Fund through the National Leiomyosarcoma Foundation and had the opportunity of meeting with the Editor of More Magazine. Donna Lyn continues her quest for health and well-being and is an advocate for Cancer Survivors through various organizations. Check out her website at www.donnalyn.org
On January 27, 2008 at Equinox in New York City, the "Spin4Survival" event for the DL Dynamo's raised over $650,000 for Sloan Kettering Cancer Research!
Our team, again lead by Donna Lyn spent the entire day spinning to raise funding and awareness around all Cancers.
